Great Marsh Projects

Marine Debris introduces harmful microplastics into the Great Marsh ecosystem. Plastics break down into smaller particles and do not go away. Microplastics are harmful to humans and wildlife. Plastic particles are toxic and will cause physical harm when ingested. Thirty percent of microplastics come from styrofoam, bags, wrappers, and plastic bottles.
